Wilderness Kings Pool is a beautiful, luxurious camp situated in front of an oxbow lagoon in a prime game viewing area, famed for its large concentrations of elephant. General game and predator viewing is also excellent.
The 300,000 acre Linyanti Wildlife Reserve where the camp is located has abundant wildlife; game such as impala, lechwe, kudu, zebra, giraffe, buffalo and bushbuck, and their predators: lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and spotted hyaena. Rarer species such as sable and roan antelope also emerge from the woodlands during the dry season. The camp has two hides; one is located at the western end of the camp where you can spend your entire siesta time watching game come down to drink; the other is an original underground hide, with the water at eye-level with massive elephant feet and trunks almost within touching distance while safely inside.
Accommodation is in eight fantastically designed and furnished rooms of canvas and thatch. Each room at Wilderness Kings Pool has a large bedroom area, lounge and outdoor sala. The en-suite bathrooms are tiled, with double indoor showers, double hand basins, flush toilet and an outdoor shower. There is 1 suite consisting of two separate tents, each with own en-suite facilities, sharing a private plunge pool and outdoor sunken lounge. Raised walkways allow animals to wander freely around the camp. The lounge, dining room and bar are under thatch and there is a swimming pool and an open-air ‘kgotla’ for dining under the stars. Massages are available for you to enjoy in the privacy of your tent.
