One of the most intimate and luxurious camps in Namibia, Little Ongava is perched on the crest of a hill commanding magnificent views of the African plains beyond in the privately owned 66,000 acre Ongava Game Reserve. Situated along the southern boundary of Etosha National Park, Namibia’s premier wildlife destination and one of Africa’s largest game reserves, Little Ongava is the ideal camp if it is an Etosha safari that you are after.
Game drives, visiting hides that overlook waterholes and walks with experienced guides can all be enjoyed exclusively on this reserve; it is one of the few private reserves in southern Africa where it is possible to see both Black and White Rhino. Most general game are present in the Ongava Game Reserve as well as within Etosha National Park: including springbok, gemsbok, wildebeest, Burchell’s zebra, Hartmann’s mountain zebra, waterbuck, red hartebeest, giraffe, eland and the endemic black-faced impala. Elephant can be found in the Park, with lion, leopard, and black and white rhino seen both there and on the reserve. Visit the Ongava Visitor Centre where you can meander through the self-guided exhibition with dozens of in-depth displays on the geology, flora and fauna of this region.
Massages are available for you to enjoy in the privacy of your tent.
Anticipate a warm welcome at this intimate and exclusive lodge, with only three spacious, private and luxurious suites each with its own plunge pool, en-suite bathroom, “sala”, and outdoor “al fresco” shower.
