Curtain Bluff is a luxurious, all-inclusive resort nestled on the southern coast of Antigua. The resort is set on a bluff overlooking two beautiful beaches, one a surf beach and the other a calm protected bay for swimming. It is a fabulous destination for couples and families, and is known for its stunning accommodations, awesome views, and outstanding service. It was originally built as a family home but was then converted into a hotel in 1962 and is still owned by the same family. The general manager has been there for 45 years and the resident manager for 36 years so it is no surprise people return year after year and these days it is 2nd and 3rd generations of guests who keep returning!
The food at Curtain Bluff is some of the best found anywhere in Antigua. The two restaurants, The Sea Grape(up the beach) and The Tamarind, offer a variety of cuisines, including Caribbean, American, and European. The wine list is extensive, and the cocktails are creative and delicious.
Guests at Curtain Bluff can do as little or as much as they want, but it is hard to resist the calm waters of the bay which offers the opportunity not only for swimming but also a multitude of watersports. Activities on offer are tennis (4 championship courts), squash, sailing, water-skiing, snorkelling trips, sea kayaking, paddle boarding, bocce, shuffleboard and basketball. There is also a fitness centre offering Yoga, Pilates, aqua aerobics, weekly power walks and body sculpting classes. Outside the resort there is plenty to see around the island, charter a boat for the day, or take a guided hike through the rainforest.
For total relaxation, the 5000 square-foot Spa is just a few feet from the sea and the treatment rooms have incredible views towards distant islands.
The Cee Bee Kids Camp is for the younger guests offering a daily activity line-up from crafting to crab races, while active pursuits like Hobie Cat sailing, snorkelling, water-skiing and court sports keep even the most energetic youngsters occupied all day.
The resort has 72 rooms and suites, all of which are spacious and beautifully appointed. The rooms have private balconies or terraces with stunning views of the ocean and are decorated in a classic Caribbean style, and feature all the amenities you would expect from a luxury resort, including air conditioning, cable TV, mini-fridges, and coffee makers. Some of the suites also have private plunge pools and there are plenty of room options for families including some interconnecting room options.
