Going on holiday has never been easier and there are few corners of the world that are off limits. But along with the rise of accessible travel comes a more pressing concern – how ethical is your holiday?
Mirus Journeys recognizes the increasing desire among travellers to make a positive impact on the destinations they visit. Many of the destinations we travel to are UNESCO World Heritage sites; places on Earth that are of outstanding universal value; sites such as the Taj Mahal in India, Botswana’s Okavango Delta, the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador. UNESCO strive to recognize and protect sites that are outstanding demonstrations of human coexistence with the land as well as human interactions, cultural coexistence, spirituality and creative expression.
With this in mind, we seek out partners and experiences that place huge emphasis on sustainability, conservation, and local community engagement and education. By careful selection of our partners, we aim to preserve the natural and cultural heritage of the places our customers visit leaving a positive and lasting legacy.
